Happy Halloween!

Well we try to really get into the Halloween spirit of fun around here! My kids know that I like to make their costumes so every year they bring on a new challenge for mommy and this year was no different!

We were running late this morning but I managed to snap this photo of the kids with my cell phone!

Our home made costumes were Little red riding hood, Escaped mental patient (using this tutorial I found on you tube) and the Corpse Bride...which I made from two of the same dresses I found at Goodwill for a total of $6! yay!  My son decided to dress up at the very last minute, learning of a costume contest at school where he could win an itunes gift card! He found "The Mexican" costume at the flea market this weekend for $8. He said every time he has a break at school he will slouch down and do the classic "Mexican Siesta" pose....as demonstrated HERE...
That kid will do anything in the name of comedy! LOL A boy after my own heart! ;-)

and here is part of my costume...

Yes I will be doing the Dia De Los Muertos theme.... I was going to do makeup but last year I had a reaction to some face paint that I would not like to repeat so I went with the mask...and besides I can hang it up later and it will be ART...yay! My husband will be matching me and is at work now painted up in the Los Muertos style with a sombrero and pancho!  I love him, he gets into the holidays even more than I do!! LOL

Well I hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween today!!!
I LOVE this time of year, Halloween signals the start of the HOLIDAY SEASON!!! YAAAAAY!!!

Have fun and stay safe!

xoxo
Gigi!
