A couple of new items coming to the shop this week featuring my personal favorite...
Frida!
How I ADORE Frida Kahlo. Her work was the first artwork that I have ever felt....within my soul...and her story...oh I can't even begin to go into how I connect with her but I do. She is a lovely artist that made the very best of all the unfair hands she was dealt and not only survived she THRIVED and left a legacy behind that will remain long after her.
Have you seen the movie about her life entitled "Frida" starring Selma Hayek? Oh its just wonderfully told and pretty darn accurate as far as her biography goes in books. I watch this movie about once a week. Love it!
So to honor one of my Art mentors of the past I have made her image under glass. I will take more photos and have them in the shop tomorrow!
