New Photography Opportunities

Well its hard to believe that my husband and I are being requested so much lately- to take photos! Its been with people that we know, which in a way is more challenging, only because we REALLY care what they think and they aren't afraid to tell us, its almost more of a challenge to please them photographically. But we did! So far!

So now we feel like we are REALLY building our portfolio...BUT there is another aspect calling me that I am working on so just you wait...it gets better...Well at least I envision a more fun realm of portraiture for children that I aim to offer it and so far I am the only one in my area that will!

Soon. (I know I am a tease!)

We have learned so very much and are still improving and practicing and it just seems that we are on the right track because everyday something new comes in that adds to our goal. Have you ever just had things roll out to in front of you once your heart knew what it wanted? Its just that! Happening to us! Speaking for myself, I am humbled and in awe and utterly thankful to God. I know that this isn't all just coincidence.

So here we are. I am able to show off just a small fractions of my favorite photos that my husband and I have taken over the years. We seem to have a knack for working together perfectly as usual. He has a natural eye for composition, I have one for emotion and am a photoshop master so together I think we can offer wonderful portraits for everyone!

We have a full wedding shoot coming up and some newborn sessions in the works. All for very low costs at the moment for portfolio building purposes, but eventually I do think this will be our day job. Also we are in the works of connecting with a photo lab that will print for us. I just have to test them out with all of our areas of expertise and since the wedding and newborn sessions haven't happened yet I haven't been able to test our compatibility yet.

Its very thrilling, but my need for thoroughness delays us jumping into it with renting a brick and mortar studio just yet. I have to be sure we can consistently book clients.

So the next part may involve you....IF you are in the greater Albuquerque,NM area. Soon I will put out a call for "mini sessions" meaning low cost photo shoots with the subject or theme I require. I need to add to the portfolio and need to see if I can work out my ideas on people that I don't know. It will be public and professional and you will get some great photos! Check back here soon for a page that we will have with all the details for Mini session calls! First come, first served. Comment below if you are interested in a personal session, or email me at artofthecraftstudios@gmail.com.

Well I am off to work on our next phase of photography growth, as it turns out, 6 years of custom boutique clothing creation is coming in handy...;-)

xoxo
Gigi
